Bin There Dump That – CNY Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. What's the difference between a bin, dumpster and roll-off container?
A. Nothing, these terms are used interchangeably. You rent the dumpster or rent the bin and we deliver the dumpster, you fill them up, and then we pick them up when you're done. It's that simple.
Q. How much does it cost to rent a dumpster?
A. The dumpster rental prices will vary depending on your needs. There are several factors to consider when looking at dumpster rental prices, like: project, items placed in the dumpster, location such as Syracuse, Rome or Watertown for example and length of rental. For more information on pricing give us a call at (315)750-4150 to discuss your dumpster rental and waste management needs.
Q. Do you have a dumpster near me and do you service my area?
A. Although our office is in Liverpool, we have yard locations in Liverpool, Rome, Lyons Falls and Watertown NY. We service and rent dumpsters near you not only in Syracuse, but our service area covers 10 counties including: Onondaga, Cortland, Oneida, Herkimer, Cayuga, Tompkins, Lewis, Jefferson, Madison and Oswego County.
Q. How long do I have the dumpster?
A. The dumpster rental is good for 7 days, however if you need it for a shorter or longer period of time, we will do our best to accommodate a pickup around your schedule, as we understand projects don't always go as planned.
Q. How much notice do you need if we need a dumpster?
A. We appreciate 24 hours notice so we can fit it in the schedule; however, we understand how things can pop up unexpectedly. If we have dumpster availability and scheduling permits we will do our best to accommodate same day delivery of the bin.
Q. What forms of payment are accepted?
A. We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
Q. What items can I put in the dumpster?
A. Pretty much anything besides hazardous wastes and certain recycling material. These include such items as gasoline, propane tanks, needles, syringes, chemicals, wet paint, explosives. Items with Freon, as well as tires, microwaves and TVs are subject to an additional charge and in some counties they are not allowed at all. Be sure to ask what is not allowed in the bin rental for your location. You can read more about hazardous waste in our blog. A list of authorized e-waste collection centers in NY is available through the NYS DEC website and also at the bottom of this FAQ's page for your reference.
Q. How big are the dumpsters?
A. We have a variety of dumpster sizes available designed to fit your needs - whether it is a big project or a small one. Sizes available include 4yd, 6yd, 10yd, 15yd, 20yd as well as 30yd and 40yd services. Our unique bin and delivery system design allow for even our larger 20 yd dumpster rental to take up only about the same amount of space as a minivan in your driveway.
Q. What size would I need for a household cleanout?
A. We recommend a 10 yard dumpster rental for smaller cleanouts without large furniture. For larger cleanouts or the removal of large furniture, we recommend our 20 yard dumpster rental. Give us a call to discuss your project and we can recommend the proper size for the job.
Q. Are you local?
A. Yes, we are locally owned and operated. Our main office is located in Liverpool, NY and we also have 3 other locations in Rome, NY, Watertown, NY and Lyons Falls, NY to better service our customers.
Q. I have a small driveway, will the dumpster fit?
A. Yes, our dumpsters are designed to be residential friendly and are about the size of a minivan. If a minivan can fit in your driveway, the dumpster will fit. We also use smaller trucks so that we can maneuver in tighter spaces to place the dumpster right where you want it.
Q. How tall are the dumpsters?
A. The dumpster sizes range from 2 feet to 6 feet in height depending on the size dumpster you rent. All of our dumpster rentals feature double door rear access for easy walk-in loading. This makes lifting heavy objects over the sides a thing of the past.
